About Me

My photo
I endeavor to take an approach to my life and photography that is simple and unadorned. The joy of capturing moments in life through photographs is truly a gift from God and I hope to share that joy with others. One of my favorite things to do is look back at old images and remember. It is one of the best ways to recall times past. There is beauty in everything. All around us lies blessings waiting to be appreciated if we would only take the time to look. My goal is to acknowledge, appreciate and capture the beauty in the lives God gave us and have the opportunity to create images to help others remember their blessings and precious moments. "Old times never come back and I suppose it's just as well. What comes back is a new morning every day in the year and that's better." -George E. Woodberry

huntsville fashion photography- telling a story

Take joy home,
And make a place in thy great heart for her,
And give her time to grow, and cherish her;
Then will she come, and oft will sing to thee,...
It is a comely fashion to be glad;
Joy is the grace we say to God.

cullman family and holiday photography

Thanks to the graciousness of Southern Accents (http://www.sa1969.com/ ), I had the opportunity to take some family photos in and around their extraordinary store in Cullman, Alabama.  If you've never been there I highly recommend paying it a visit.  You will be greeted with Southern charm and fall in love with everything you see.

If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle.

"Be like a bird, halting in his flight
A while in boughs so light,
Feels them give way beneath him and yet sings,
Knowing that he hath wings."
